One of the fun things we’ve done for the 12 days of Christmas is to wrap up 12 books and open one each day. This way, there is still anticipation for a “present”, but it becomes something we all do together because we sit and read the story as a family.
Here is my list of books (By the way, I use the same books each year. They come out for Christmas and go into a box for the rest of the year.):
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever
The Advent Book – Jack and Kathy Stockman
What Nick and Holly Found in Grandpa’s Attic – Melody Carlson
The Crippled Lamb – Max Lucado
Great Joy – Kate DiCamillo
The Littlest Angel – Charles Tazewell
Silent Night – the Song and it’s Story – Margaret Hedges
God Came Near – Max Lucado
The Trees of the Dancing Goats – Patricia Polacco
First Noel – Jan Pienkowski
Mary Did You Know? The Story of God’s Great Plan – Mark Lowry
By the way, I’d LOVE it if some of you would leave your favorite book titles for Christmas in the comments!!!
